Obit of Bennie Gooden, Jr. Bennie Gooden Jr. 76, passed away peacefully in his home on September 17, 2017. He was born in Noxapater, MS and graduated from Noxapater High School. Mr. Gooden was employed by Ford Motor Company, Lorain as a Transportation Driver, retiring in 2005 after 40 years of service. He also worked with Carter Funeral Home in Louisville, MS and Carter Funeral Home in Lorain. Bennie enjoyed woodcarving, baking and gardening and was an avid sports fan of basketball and football. He enjoyed being with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 39 years Tricher (nee Taylor) Gooden, children: David Lee (Diane) Gooden, Dennis Earl (Janet) Gooden, Benneye Elaine Gooden-Young, Linda Deneice Gooden and his children’s mother: Dorothy Gooden-Wallace, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sisters: May Ora Williams, Hattie May Swift and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by parents Bennie, Sr. and Ardella Gooden and by sister Dessie Ree Moore. Friends may call on Friday September 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Ministries Christian Center, 1306 Euclid Avenue, Lorain, OH 44052.
