Obituary of Annie Qualls Annie ‘Dot’ Qualls 71, of Elyria made her transition to Heaven on December 13th, 2016 in the University Hospital (EMH) following a long illness. She was born in Goshen, AL coming to Elyria at a young age. Mrs. Qualls was employed at General Motors in Elyria for many years as an assembler and was a nurse’s aide for Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon and Alter Care nursing home and retirement center. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Elyria where she served on the Usher Board. She enjoyed sewing, card games and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter Sonya D. (Nathaniel) Lee (nee Lawrence) of Akron and a son Thomas Lawrence, Jr of Elyria and 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, sister Marion Oliver Fluker, brothers: T.L. Flowers, Sylvester Oliver, Eddie (Pam) Oliver, all of Elyria, Phillip Oliver of Columbus and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Qualls, parents Harvey Lee and Annie Mae Oliver, sister Jeanette Oliver-Lewis, brothers John L. Flowers and Harvey Oliver Flowers. Friends may call Thursday December 22, 2016 in the Mt. Olivet Alliance Church, 626 Lorain Blvd., (Rt. 57), Elyria, OH 44035, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon. Rev. Joseph Gause is pastor. Bishop Emmett Lee will be the Eulogist and Rev. Dr. J. Howard Timmons, co-officiant. Burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, OH 44011.
