Annie “Alberta” Whitaker 66 of Elyria, went home to be with the lord on January 10, 2018 following a short illness. She was born in Winchester, Tennessee coming to Elyria many years ago.

She was employed at the Elyria Country Club for 40 years, Holiday Inn, Elyria, and Elyria Memorial Hospital in the dietary department.

She was a member of Original Church of God were she was a former choir and kitchen committee, member.

She enjoyed movies, gospel music, reading-puzzles, and being with family and friends.

She will be sadly missed by her sisters; Marilyn D. Anderson, Sylvia S. Whitaker, Clara Whitaker, and Delores Stovall of Lorain, brothers; James F. and Charles E. Whitaker and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a god mother of 3.

She was preceded in death by parents; James D. and Gladys Whitaker, bother; Arthur Whitaker, material grandparents; Robert and Leona Whitaker, paternal grandparent; James Dallas Whitaker, Sr.

Friends may call Monday January, 22, 2018 in the Original Church of God, 312 Edwards Ave, Elyria, Oh. From 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am.Elder Orlando Algood, officiate. Burial in the Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Avon.
