Alfred L. “AL” Jones, 73 of Elyria made his transition on February 12, 2016 in his home suddenly. He was born in Nashville, TN coming to Elyria where he spent most of his life.
He attended Elyria High School. He was employed as a laborer at Riddell Corporation for 8 years. He enjoyed fishing, going to flea markets, being a freelance artist and he enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Survived by sisters, Letha (Rene) Carde of FL and Sharon Johnson of Elyria and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by parents Joe and Clara Jones, brothers, Joe Jones Jr. and Moses Johnson, and sister Cara Woods.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 W. Bridge St, Elyria. Reverend Marcettes Cunningham, Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Elyria will give words of comfort.
