Mr. Clarence E. Carter, Sr., was a renowned Funeral Director and Embalmer in Lorain County for more than 45 years, he met Alruth Carter from West Point ,Mississippi and the two were joined in marriage. They shared their dreams of owning their own funeral home and the dream came to pass in 1968.
With Clarence known for his excellent embalming and Alruth for her outstanding speaking ability, the husband and wife team began building their business. Over the years the two managed to stay active in the community helping as many families as they could and maintaining their business. The sacrifices made and the struggles of working seven days a week has grown Carter Funeral Homes, Inc., into a 45 year family owned business offering, consistency and professional detail to your Homegoing and Memorial Services.
Mr. Carter passed away April 30th, 2006, leaving to cherish his memory his son and now Chief Executive Officer Dennis W. Carter.
In an ongoing effort to maintain the family tradition of excellence that my parents started 45 years ago, my staff and I are working diligently to maintain the outstanding reputation of being fair and honest. We are deeply grateful to have served this community for 45 years. We assure you with strong resolve, that we prayerfully pledge to continue rendering the same caring, compassionate and quality service.
